Note: Please ensure you have added your Registered Address under the Contracting Entity card in your Account, as you may face errors when connecting to channels if this is not in place.
Before starting a channel connection, make sure you have completed the following:
Added or imported the listings you want to connect.
Checked your listing information, including names, descriptions, images, and amenities.
Set up your unit types correctly.
Added your base rates and rate plans.
Reviewed your pricing, minimum and maximum stays, and other restrictions.
Added or imported your existing future bookings.
Blocked any dates when your units are unavailable.
Reviewed your calendar to make sure your availability is correct.
Completed host verification if it is required for your setup or the channel you want to connect.
Bear in mind that while OTAs can help you generate immediate revenue, relying on them as your primary source of bookings can cost you significantly over time because of channel commissions.
Zeevou is designed to help you generate immediate revenue by connecting you to various third-party commission-based booking sites. At the same time, Zeevou gives you tools to showcase your brand and effectively market your business to drive direct bookings.
We recommend choosing a manageable number of OTAs rather than listing everywhere. As a starting point, we recommend considering no more than 5–10 OTAs for a large operator and around 3–5 for an individual host. The right number depends on your portfolio, target guests, market, and the amount of time you can dedicate to managing each channel.
Managing OTAs can be time-consuming, and that time could be better spent building guest relationships and driving direct bookings. We cover ways in which Zeevou helps you do this further down in this setup guide.
For now, when listing on OTAs, try to look at them as a shop window that customers browse when looking at your product — your property listing.
Make sure your brand stands out on your listings. For example, use your host profile, high-quality photography, and other appropriate branding opportunities that comply with each platform's rules.
Your OTA listing may be the first place a guest discovers your business. A strong and recognisable presence can encourage guests to remember your brand and discover the website you have set up through Zeevou.
Important: Always follow each OTA's rules regarding branding, contact details, images, and attempts to redirect guests to external websites. Do not add information that could result in your listing being restricted or removed.
Watch the video below for an overview of the steps to prepare your account before connecting your booking channels:
Some channel connections open a new browser window or tab. If nothing happens when you click a connection button, your browser may be blocking pop-ups.
Safari doesn't open the pop-up window because, Safari for macOS has no per-website control over blocking pop-up windows. Pop-ups are either blocked, or they are not. To allow pop-ups:
From the Safari menu, choose Preferences
Click the Security tab.
Ensure the Block pop-up windows option is not checked. Unchecking this option will allow pop-ups.
To block pop-ups once again, check the Block pop-up windows checkbox.
You can also select Block and Notify if you prefer Safari to ask you before displaying a pop-up.
Note: If you are concerned about allowing pop-ups globally for all websites that you browse, consider using another web browser that allows website exceptions such as Chrome or Firefox.
If Chrome blocks a connection window:
Return to the Zeevou page where you started the connection.
Look for the Pop-up blocked icon in the address bar.
Select the option to allow pop-ups and redirects for Zeevou.
Return to Zeevou and try the connection again.
Note: You can also manage pop-ups under Settings → Privacy and security → Site Settings → Pop-ups and redirects.
With your setup ready, you can now choose the connection type that best fits your needs.
