Determine Your Connection Type

Zeevou offers two connection types to external channels. The first step is to determine which connection type your account is on.

Connection Type A enables a full integration to OTAs including the ability to push listings and sync content. Connection Type B mostly synchronises rates, availability and restrictions and retrieves bookings, however it has the advantage of enabling an integration to the GDS and specialist hotel channels. It also allows you to run multiple rate plans in parallel for the same unit type to channels such as Booking.com that support that. If you’d like to discuss switching to Connection Type B, you may raise a Service Request through the chat function on the bottom right.

If you recently signed up, you can skip to Connection Type A instructions.

1. Log in to app.zeevou.com

2. Navigate to Listings on the main menu.

3. Look for Manage Channels on the top right.

4. If you can see this, please follow Connection Type A Instructions. Otherwise, go ahead with Connection Type B Instructions.

Note that you can connect to Google directly on the listing page without needing to upgrade to the paid channel manager.

Connection Type A

This typically involves connecting your Zeevou account to the OTA (Online Travel Agency) using direct, often tighter integrations (like QuickConnect or extranet sync). You follow Connection Type A instructions if you see a specific figure in your Listings Dashboard after logging in to your Zeevou account.

How Do I Find the Zeevou Property ID for Connection Type A? 

The Zeevou Property ID corresponds to the Rate Plan ID in Zeevou. To find it:

1. Navigate to Calendar → Rates & Availability Calendar.

2. Hover over the required rate plan in the calendar.

3. The Rate Plan ID will be displayed in the bottom-left corner of the page.

Note that  during the channel mapping process Connection Type A, you can find the corresponding Zeevou Property ID in the Property Settings section. This ID can be used when mapping properties between Zeevou and connected channels.

Connection Type B

Type B often involves manual steps, such as emailing support or changing providers via the OTA extranet before starting the mapping process in Zeevou. This flow might be more hands-on initially but achieves similar synchronisation in the end.
