Note that before any step, if you log in to app.zeevou.com and see the below figure in your Listings Dashboard page, please follow Connection Type A Instructions. Otherwise, go ahead with Connection Type B Instructions.
Connection Type A Instructions:
Log into Expedia.com Extranet and open your desired listing page.
Navigate to Rooms & Rate on the left menu, and click on Connectivity Settings.
You will be prompted for a Verification Code.
Click on Get Started to select your provider.
Search for QuickConnect and click Next.
Click on Connect for Availability & Rates, Messaging, and Reservations. Then, click Next.
Finally, click Confirm.
Log into app.zeevou.com, go to Listings, and click on Manage Channels in the top right.
Select Expedia and click on Connect.
Follow these 2 steps to get connected:
Step 1. How it works: Tick Attestation, then click Save & Next.
Step 2. Further Instructions: Click on Yes and Connect.
Manage Expedia Connection
Click Synchronise Your First Property and confirm by clicking Yes.
Paste the Hotel ID, and click Next.
Then, verify the Currency, and click Next.
In front of your desired Expedia room name, click on the Select Properties button.
Select the desired property from the drop-down menu and click Next.
Then, click Manage 1 Rate and select Activate.
Adjust the number of people in pricing under Advanced, set the markup percentage if needed, and click Save.
Connection Type B Instructions:
1. Log into the Expedia Extranet and open your desired listing page.
2. Navigate to Rooms & Rates on the left menu, and click on Connectivity Settings.
3. You may be prompted for a Verification Code.
4. Click on Get Started to select your provider.
5. If an old channel manager exists, remove it by clicking on Change Provider.
6. Search for Zeevou and click Next.
7. Click Connect for Availability & Rates, Messaging, and Reservations, and then click Next.
8. Finally, click Confirm.
9. Copy your Hotel ID from Expedia (you can find it in the top-right corner of the page).
10. Log into app.zeevou.com and go to the Listings Dashboard.
11. Open your desired listing and click on Manage Channels in the top right corner.
Note: If you are using Safari, the new pop-up window might not open. Please follow the steps mentioned here.
12. Click on Select Channel on the right, then select Expedia. Finally, click the + button.
13. In the pop-up window, enter the following details:
Channel Hotel ID: Paste the Expedia Hotel ID you copied earlier.
Select Rooms: Select your desired unit type(s) to map with this Expedia listing.
Currency: Choose your desired currency from the drop-down menu.
Rate Pricing:
Select Occupancy Based if your rate varies with the number of people. Ensure your Expedia listing is also set up for Occupancy Based pricing, or the connection will fail.
Select Room Based if you charge the same rate regardless of the number of guests. This setup must match your Expedia configuration.
Rate: Select Sell Rate.
Status: Select Inactive.
14. Click on Save.
15. Under Action, click Map next to Expedia.
16. On the next page, click Map next to your desired Unit Type.
Note 1: Each Unit Type and Rate Plan in Zeevou must be mapped separately.
Note 2: Repeat this step for each rate plan in Expedia, or ask Expedia support to make them as derived rate plans.
Mapping Details
In the pop-up window:
17. Under OTA Listing Name, select your room name (the manageable one). You can find the room name and ID under Rooms & Rates > Room Types and Rate Plans. Do not select the Package option.
18. Under PMS Rate Plan, select your desired Zeevou Rate Plan from the drop-down menu.
19. Under No. of Guests, click + to add a row for each occupancy level.
Do not change the rows up to your minimum number of guests.
For additional guests, enter the extra guest pricing relative to your base rate.
Adjusting Rates
20. Use the provided fields to adjust the rates being sent:
Markup Percentage (next to the "×" sign): Enter a multiplier to increase/decrease the rate by a percentage (e.g., to add 15%, change the value from 1 to 1.15).
Extra Charges (next to the +/- sign): Enter a specific amount to add or deduct (e.g., enter +10 to add 10 units or -10 to subtract 10 units). This is useful for extra guest fees or other charges.
21. Click Save.
A confirmation message, “Room Successfully Mapped”, will appear.
Final Activation
22. Click the black square with the Key symbol in the top right corner. In the pop-up window, click the > symbol next to Remove, and change the status from Inactive to Active.
Disconnect from Expedia:
Log into the Expedia Extranet and open your desired listing page.
Navigate to Rooms & Rates on the left menu, and click on Connectivity Settings.
You may be prompted for a Verification Code.
Remove the current channel manager by clicking on Manage Services.
Click Disconnect for Availability & Rates, Messaging, and Reservations, and then click Next.
Finally, click Confirm.
Log into app.zeevou.com and go to the Listings Dashboard.
Open your desired listing and click on Manage Channels in the top right corner.
Click the Key symbol in front of Expedia.
In the pop-up window, click Remove.
