What is Auto Charge/Auto Refund option?

Zeevou’s Auto Charge/Auto Refund feature automates payment collection and refunds based on booking policies, reducing manual work. It ensures deposits, balances, and refunds are processed seamlessly through integrated payment gateways.

To enable this option, navigate to the Settings gear icon and select Settings. Locate the Security Deposit Collection Methods card under the Finance tab, enable the Card toggle, and choose Stripe as your payment gateway. Then, tick Auto Charge/Auto Refund and click Save.

Stripe does not allow for security deposits to be pre-authorised for more than 7 days from the point of pre-authorisation. To help overcome this, we have developed two options:

1- To auto-capture and auto-refund funds to be held as a security deposit. This will allow you to keep a security deposit for bookings of any length.

2- The security deposit extend module that automatically authorises the deposit again and this goes on according to security deposit timeline settings.

However, if you tick the Auto Charge/Auto Refund box, the system considers Stripe deposits as actual payments.

That is when guests authorise the deposit, the amount is transferred to your account and after the guests’ departure, if you do not want to Capture some or all of it, it will be automatically refunded to them based on your setting in the Online Check-in Process.

Please note that £3.00 per deposit transaction will be deducted from your account.
