Messaging API allows hosts and guests to communicate through channels like Airbnb. Messages from channels supporting the API will appear in Zeevou's Unified Inbox. So, you can reply to these messages directly in Zeevou.
How to Create an API Message
Log into your Zeevou account.
Click on the gear icon in the top right corner and select the Automated Messages.
On the Automated Messages dashboard, click on your desired message to edit or click on Automated Messages + in the top right corner to create a new one.
On the opened message page, scroll down to the Message card.
Click on the pen icon if you are editing an existing message.
For How should this message be sent?, select API Message from the drop-down menu to configure your message.
Finally, click on Save & Close (or, click on Save Changes if you are editing an existing message).
Note 1: The message will only be sent if the guest has messaged you first through the channel.
Note 2: You can use variables in your message. However, starting a new paragraph (using Enter) will result in the text being displayed as a single paragraph to guests.
Note 3: Messaging API is only active for communication with guests and bookings.
How to Set an OTA Autoresponder for API Messages (Not for Spark Users)
Click on the gear icon and select Automated Messages.
On the Automated Messages dashboard, click on the gear icon and select OTA Autoresponder from the options.
Configure your autoresponder message:
A drawer opens where you can activate Pre-booking Enquiries. (This message will be sent in response to the first message received pre-booking.)
Select Send Time, Start Time, End Time, and Time Zone.
Insert the message in the box under Body.
You can also activate Guest Bookings. (This message will be sent in response to the first message received that is associated with a booking.)
Select Send Time.
Insert the message in the box under Body.
Finally, click on Save.
Note: To ensure important messages are delivered, it is recommended to send them via email as well due to varying conditions affecting API message delivery.
