This feature allows you to adjust how Channel Tax (such as VAT) is displayed and calculated in bookings. Specifically, it converts only the Channel Tax amount applied to the accommodation—which comes from the channel side—into the accommodation price.
This means:
The Channel Tax amount originally shown as a separate line will be merged into the accommodation.
Taxes created based on a Tax Rate (for accommodation or fees) will not be converted.
This helps ensure VAT or similar channel-based taxes are reflected directly in the accommodation price for clearer reporting.
Navigate to the Finance tab of booking where Channel Tax is applied in Price Breakdown.
Click the convert icon next to Channel Taxes amount.
When you click the convert icon under accommodation, a warning message will appear.
Review the warning and click Confirm to proceed.
Result of Conversion
The Channel Tax amount will be set to zero.
The same amount will be added to the accommodation price.
Go to the All Bookings page.
Select the bookings you want to update.
Click the More icon and choose Convert Channel Tax to Accommodation.
A warning message will be displayed.
Review it carefully and click Confirm to proceed.
After confirmation:
The tax amount in all selected bookings will be set to zero.
The same amount will be added to their accommodation prices.
7.Once the action is completed, an info dialog will appear to confirm the update.
By converting, only the portion of the channel tax related to accommodation will be converted into the accommodation amount, while any tax related to fees will remain in the channel tax.
The Convert to Accommodation icon will only be displayed if the Channel Tax amount is greater than zero.
