Bear in mind that while OTAs help with bringing in immediate revenue, in the long run they actually end up costing you a lot if you rely on them as your primary source of bookings.
Zeevou is designed to help you in achieving immediate revenue by helping you connect to various third-party commission-based sites, but also gives you the tools to showcase your brand and effectively market to drive direct bookings.
We recommend you pick no more than 5-10 OTAs to list on if you are a large operator, and 3-5 if you are a host. Managing OTAs is time-consuming in itself and that time could be better spent on building guest relationships and driving direct bookings. We cover ways in which Zeevou helps you do this further down in this set-up guide.
For now, when listing on OTAs, try to look at them as a shop window that customers browse when looking at your product (the listing of your property). Make sure your brand stands out on your listings (host profile, hints in photos that won’t get you banned from the platform, etc) so that they can look you up if they are savvy enough and find the website you’ve just set up through Zeevou.
Wِarning for Safari Users
Safari doesn't open the pop-up window because, Safari for macOS has no per-website control over blocking pop-up windows. Pop-ups are either blocked, or they are not. To allow pop-ups:
Step 1: From the Safari menu, choose Preferences... and click the Security tab.
Step 2: Ensure the Block pop-up windows option is not checked. Unchecking this option will allow pop-ups.
Step 3: To block pop-ups once again, check the Block pop-up windows checkbox.
Note: If you are concerned about allowing pop-ups globally for all websites that you browse, consider using another web browser that allows website exceptions such as Chrome or Firefox.
