Tax rates allow you to automatically calculate and collect taxes on bookings. Once applied to a rate plan, taxes will be calculated for all new Direct and Manual Bookings.
Navigate to Pricing > Taxes
Click Create Tax Rate.
Name: Give your tax rate a descriptive name.
Description: Add notes for reference (optional).
Currency: Select the currency.

Configure each tax component:
Tax Type: Select the type of tax
Charge Type: Choose how it's charged
Calculation Method: Define how it's calculated
Amount: Enter the tax amount or percentage
Tax Items: Select which items are taxed
Authority: Specify the tax authority

Add Multiple Components:
Click + Add Tax Component to add additional tax types. Each component will display as a separate line on your tax rate card.
Select any Rate Plans with a matching currency to apply the Tax Rate to, then click Save.

Note 1: If you click on + Add Tax Component, Component 2 will open under Component 1 and you can set and select its variables. The Added Component will be demonstrated on your tax rate card.

Note 2: Once created, the tax rate and its components display on a card. Hover over Tax Items to view the complete list of taxable items.

Click the three dots on your tax rate card for additional actions:
Apply to Rate Plans
Edit
Delete
View Change History

Each rate plan can have a maximum of one tax rate. You cannot apply two tax rates to one rate plan.
Click the three dots on your tax rate card.
Select Apply to Rate Plans.
A window will appear with two tabs:

Apply tab:
Tick your desired rate plan(s).
Click Apply.
Only rate plans with matching currency and no existing tax rate will appear.
Applied List tab:
View rate plans that already have this tax applied.
Select a tax rate assignment.
Click Remove to remove it.
Important:
Editing a tax rate only affects future bookings.
Deleting a tax rate disconnects it from rate plans but preserves the record in existing bookings.

Control how taxes display to guests:
Click the gear icon in the top-right corner.
Configure these options:
Prices are Tax Included: Toggle on if your displayed prices already include tax amounts.
Show Tax Breakdown to Guests: Toggle on to show itemized tax details to guests before they book.

Once a tax rate is applied, it is automatically calculated for all new bookings. You can check the amount for each booking in two sections:
Price Breakdown: View tax amounts under the Finance tab on the Booking page.
Tax Rate Details: See complete tax information under Tax Rate in the Finance tab.


In the current tax structure, you can select a rate plan when creating a tax. If no rate plan is selected, the tax will not apply to bookings made under that rate plan. The Tax page is located under the Finance section in the main menu (not under Settings).
When creating a tax, you can also apply it to specific fees. To do this, select the relevant add-on type category from the Tax Item dropdown on the Create Tax page. This ensures the tax is correctly applied to the selected fee type.
Please note that each rate plan can only be linked to one tax rate at a time. Once a rate plan is allocated to a tax rate, it will no longer appear as available for other tax rates. To assign it to a different tax rate, you must first unallocate it. After unallocation, it will become available for selection again.
